Matti Mattila, Founder of MBO Partners, will gradually retire during 2022. Partners Pertti Aaltonen and Kari Juurakko bought Matti’s stake in the company in January. Matti will continue as a part-time advisor to MBO Partners on the company’s projects, ensuring that his clients’ ongoing projects are handled well all the way to the finish line.

Matti founded MBO Partners in 2003 and served as the company’s CEO until December 2020. Throughout the lifecycle of MBO Partners, he has been involved in more than a hundred acquisitions or financing arrangements.

Matti’s new role as “corporate reorganizer emeritus” provides him an opportunity to accept board memberships in companies that could benefit from an outside board member.

“Working with the very talented and competent Kari and Pertti has given a lot of energy to my own work over the past year and a half. Through good cooperation, we have found excellent solutions in customers’ acquisition and financing projects. MBO Partners is in good hands!”, Matti describes his thoughts.
