MBO Partners acted as advisor to the Firebig Group in the acquisition of the joint sealing company Saumalaakso Oy Länsi-Suomi and the fire protection company Palokatkospecial Oy.

The Firebig Group continues its growth when, in a share transaction carried out on 27 February 2026, the Group acquired the shares of Saumalaakso Oy Länsi-Suomi. With the transaction, the Group strengthens its joint sealing offering and position in Western Finland. Saumalaakso Oy Länsi-Suomi was previously part of the Saumalaakso Group.

In a share transaction carried out on 31 March 2026, the fire protection company Palokatkospecial Oy joined the Firebig Group. With this transaction, the Firebig Group further strengthens its position, especially in Southern Finland, but also in the entire Finnish fire protection market.

Palokatkospecial is a fire protection company founded by Mikko Asikainen and Sami Salenius in 2021 and has already increased its turnover to over 1.5 million euros (9/2025). Entrepreneurs Asikainen and Salenius will be employed by the Firebig Group through the acquisition.
