MBO Partners acted as advisor in the corporate restructuring of Oy Woodim Finland Ltd, Finland’s leading hardwood and panel trading company, in which the company’s group structure was simplified. At the same time, a share transaction and financing arrangement were implemented in the company, in which the founding entrepreneur transferred his ownership to a key person, who will continue as the company’s CEO and sole owner after the arrangement. The group’s turnover in 2024 was approximately 6.6 million euros. MBO Partners acted as joint advisor to the company and the parties, was responsible for the structural arrangements and arranging the financing of the transaction in the arrangement implemented on 1 July 2025.

MBO Partners has been acting as an advisor to Oy Woodim Finland Ltd in corporate restructuring and financing-related projects for ten years. The transaction now completes the ownership change process that began in 2021, in which the current CEO bought in to the company and a plan was created to finalize the ownership change over the coming years.

The ownership change was implemented according to plan, and along the way, the Woodim Group, with MBO Partners as its advisor, acquired a share in a wood processing company Ecosilva Oy in a share transaction in 2023. In addition, a business transaction was completed in 2024, in which the Group acquired the business of Woodota Oy. With these acquisitions, the Woodim Group succeeded in further strengthening its position in the Finnish hardwood market. The successful corporate restructuring and the implemented ownership change enable the continuation of the successful story of the Finnish family business.
